As you know the smartphones and computers have the CPU, GPU, RAM and Processor. There are also a clock speed that indicates how much the processor is fast. So Clock speed of a device is a very essential feature for its performances. You all heard about the GHz or MHz which are the unit of the clock speed. So lets know more about the clock speed.

You know that the CPU and GPU are work for the data manage and graphics. But if you consider about the integrated circuit then they are work in a particular sequence. And there are a clock present which on or off the circuits in a particular speed. These circuits will perform well if the clock will on or off more times means if the clock will on or off more times in a second then the complete circuit will work properly. Here the performance of the circuit help the transfer speed of the data. The data transfer speed increases and the processing of data will be very fast.

If you consider about the smartphones then there are different clock speeds are available. In a normal phone and a flagship phone there are different clock speeds are available. For example,if a phone having low RAM, low processor and less internal storage then the phone need a low range clock speed. Because in a low range clock speed that phone can perform well. But if there is a flagship phone having more RAM, high processor and more internal storage then the phone obviously need a better clock speed.

Then if you consider about the computers then here you do multiple task in multiple tabs. So as compared to smartphone here the clock speed is more.

But the processor also affect the clock speed. Suppose consider two phones having same specifications but one is new and another is old. Then if the design of the processor is different then the clock speed will definitely differs. So at last lets know about the GHz and MHz.
"GHz" is known as Gigahertz which means the clock switching 1 billion times in a second and "MHz" is known as Megahertz which means the clock switching 1 million times in a second. So according to the processor and work speed the clock switch more times.
